Childhood Record Book – Baby to Teenager

Recording your baby’s ‘firsts’ seems very much the thing to do but how many of you wish you could get your hands on a book which allowed you to record the moments from before your child was born right up until they go to university and beyond?

Well, now you can.  We are delighted to be able to sell the Baby and Beyond – Childhood Record Book.  Priced at £19.99 it is a bargain and comes in a beautiful box which is sure to keep the book clean and safe.

The book is spiral bound thus allowing for photos and keepsakes to be stored.  There is also a special little pocket for baby’s hospital band to be stored.

At each stage, you and your child can record all of their special memories, such as what school they attended, who their teacher was, friends, achievements, special events and ambitions.

There is also a space for a photo each year, and room to record personal details such as height and weight.

Baby and Beyond is a perfect way to capture the many memories of childhood that so easily are forgotten.

In the years to come the contents of the book will be looked back on with very fond memories.

Race for Life – The Update

Regular readers of my blog will know that my mother in law was recently diagnosed with bowel cancer.  Well, she is responding to treatment and, although chemotherapy affected her really badly, she has just had one course of radiotherapy.  After a short spell in hospital, she is now back home and recovering.  Her next appointment is in 10 weeks time so hopefully we will know more then.

Anyway, this spurred me to to take part in the Race for Life and I can proudly say that I did it in 37 minutes.  This was a mixture of mainly jogging (how fit am I???) and walking and a quick (I say quick but there was a queue) loo break.

I didn’t quite manage to reach my target of £200 but I did raise money and I am immensely proud to be supporting my mother in law in this way.

The experience was so amazing that I have registered for the 10K run on Sunday 10th October.  I have set myself a £200 target but I would LOVE to smash this.  Any sponsorship, even as little at £2 would be absolutely great and all money goes towards helping raise money for cancer charities.

My sponsorship page can be found here:

On another note, my friend Rach (she runs Bits N Bobs)  did the Milton Keynes Midnight Moo on Saturday.  This was a 10 mile walk and all money raised for this is going to the Willens Hospice in Milton Keynes.

Rach, who by her own admission, never walks very far, finished this in 3hrs 28 minutes.  I think this is an incredible achievement.  Having just spoken to her, she say that despite all soreness, blisters and tiredness, she will probably do it again!!

Go for it Rach, you have set yourself a marker now, try and beat it next year!!!!

End of Term Gifts

Those of  you with school children will know that it seems to be the ‘norm’ for your child to give a gift to a teacher at the end of the summer term.

I am sure that many teachers get inundated with flowers and chocolates, so why not give something a little different?

At Teeny Munchkins we sell the beautiful handmade Wooden Star which can be personalised with the name of the teacher and your child.  And at £6.95 it is just a snip of a price for the hard work your child’s teacher has put into their education.
